Carrie Anne Fleming is gone at just 51. The Supernatural and iZombie actress died of cancer with loved ones beside her, leaving a beloved daughter and a friendship her onscreen husband could never forget. For Jim Beaver, who had already lost his wife to the same disease, saying goodbye meant confronting another devastating loss and a newly shattered hear…
Fleming’s representative confirmed in a statement shared with Us Weekly on March 22 that the actress had died peacefully on February 26. Remembering her as “a beautiful soul” who was inspiring and kind, the representative said she is survived by her daughter. Television audiences knew Fleming as Karen Singer on Supernatural and Candy on iZombie. Her screen career also included appearances in Good Luck Chuck, Married Life and Along Came a Nanny.
In a March 1 Facebook tribute, Beaver recalled an unexpected connection from their first meeting: their daughters shared the same name, apart from spelling differences. That discovery began a friendship he remembered with profound affection, praising Fleming’s vitality, goodwill and infectious laugh. Her death also brought echoes of losing his wife, Cecily Adams, to cancer in 2004. “I never thought my heart could break so badly more than once,” he wrote. “But it has.”
