My Jobless Son-in-Law Spent $1000 on Massages, Leaving My Pregnant Daughter with No Money, So I Stepped In

When my pregnant daughter Jane discovered her credit card maxed out by her jobless husband Mark’s indulgent massages, her world collapsed. Determined to teach him a lesson, I took him on a weekend trip, turning expected leisure into a grueling wake-up call about responsibility.

“Dad, I can’t take it anymore,” Jane sobbed, revealing Mark had stolen her card for $1000 worth of massages. Infuriated, I rushed to her side, realizing the extent of her struggles since Mark lost his job.

At the cottage, Mark expected relaxation. Instead, I handed him a list of chores: repairing the roof, fixing the fence, and painting. “It’s time you learned what hard work feels like,” I said sternly. Mark grumbled but complied, his frustration growing with each task.

By the end of the weekend, Mark was exhausted. I handed him a check for $1000, saying, “This is your payment. Use it to repay Jane and start being the partner she deserves.” Mark apologized to Jane, promising to contribute more.

In the following weeks, Mark kept his promise, finding part-time work and taking on more household responsibilities. The tough lesson had brought about real change, ensuring a better future for their family.
