Baked Fish Sticks

Ingredients:

Ingredient Amount
Firm white fish (cod or tilapia) 1 lb, cut into 1-inch wide strips
Panko breadcrumbs 1 cup
Grated Parmesan 1/2 cup
Garlic powder 1 teaspoon
Paprika 1 teaspoon
Salt 1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper 1/4 teaspoon
Large eggs 2
All-purpose flour 1/4 cup
Cooking spray or olive oil For greasing
Instructions:

Preheat Oven: Heat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (about 200 degrees Celsius).
Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Lightly grease it with cooking spray or olive oil to prevent sticking.
Prepare Coating: In a shallow dish, mix together panko breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Prepare Eggs: Crack the eggs into a separate bowl and beat them until frothy.
Prepare Flour: Spread the all-purpose flour out on a plate.
Coat Fish: Take each fish strip and dredge it in the flour, shaking off any excess. Then dip it into the beaten eggs, and finally coat it in the breadcrumb mixture. Make sure each strip is evenly coated.
Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the coated fish strips on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they are not touching each other. This ensures even baking and crispiness.
Bake: Bake the fish sticks in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the coating is golden brown and the fish flakes easily with a fork.
Serve: Once done, remove the fish sticks from the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve them hot with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!
