Ocasio-Cortez Blames Guns For Assassination

Charlie Kirk Assassinated; AOC Blames Gun Laws

Following the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk during a college event,

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez blamed gun violence and Republican inaction.

“Every single day people are dying due to gun violence in America,” she said, “and every single day,

there are people in this building that continue to vote against doing anything.”

When asked about her party’s rhetoric, AOC said, “Yes, we need to talk about…there are words…but most importantly,

we are in the job of leadership…where the American people are looking to us to do something.”

Kirk was shot at Utah Valley University around 12:20 p.m., according to university official Ellen Treanor.

“Shots were fired from a building about 200 yards from the speaker,” she stated.

“The individual was hit and was taken away immediately by his security personnel… our campus police has a suspect in custody.”

The campus was shut down for the day.
