My Husband’s Friend Accidentally Exposed His Af.fair—So I Showed Up with Champagne and a Plan

My husband’s affair was exposed by accident — thanks to his best friend’s voicemail. Tom called, saying, “Hey! I’ll be at Coachella at 2 for the double date!” Coachella? My husband said he was working. I looked it up — it was a downtown restaurant.

Suspicious, I got ready and went there. I arrived just before 2, sat with a clear view of the entrance — and saw him walk in, laughing and holding hands with a glamorous woman.

I stayed calm. Then I sent champagne to their table with a note: “Cheers to my hard-working husband and his ‘business meetings.’ — Your actual wife.”

He went pale when he read it. She looked confused. He scanned the room, saw me — I raised my glass, smiled, and walked out.

He had explaining to do. I had all the satisfaction.
