In 1975, while filming “Rancho Deluxe” in Montana, he saw Susan, a waitress with a broken nose and black eye, and was captivated by her beauty and resilience. He asked her out, but she humorously declined, saying they might meet again.
They did, and their love blossomed. They went on to have children and grandchildren, and faced challenges together, including Jeff’s battle with cancer and COVID-19. Susan’s unwavering support helped him through these tough times, showcasing the enduring strength of their love.
