I am a forty four year old widow named Brooklyn currently battling cancer while raising my thirteen year old daughter Ava. My husband David passed away when Ava was only two years old and left me completely overwhelmed by grief and unpaid bills. Following his funeral, my mother in law convinced me to sign several confusing legal documents while I was exhausted and grieving. My in laws completely disappeared from our lives shortly afterward, leaving me to handle my cancer diagnosis and expensive medical treatments entirely alone.Family To help pay for my medicine, Ava bravely set up a small folding table in our yard to sell her handmade crocheted animal toys. While caring neighbors stopped by to purchase her creations, a man on a motorcycle suddenly pulled up to the table. I stepped outside and immediately recognized the rider as Marcus, my late husbands brother who I believed had abandoned us. Marcus revealed that his parents had actually pushed him away and falsely claimed that I wanted nothing to do with him.
