Kira’s attempt to sneak out to a party uncovers a shocking family secret that changes her life. While her strict mother, Sarah, and supportive father, Tom, argue over her request, Kira sneaks out through the garage, finding an old photo of Meredith, her older sister, pregnant. At the party, chaos erupts when police arrive, and Kira ends up at the station, where Meredith picks her up. On the drive home, Meredith reveals that she is actually Kira’s mother, not her sister. Overwhelmed, Kira is hurt and confused by the years of deception. At the river, Meredith explains that she was too young and forbidden to tell the truth. They share a heartfelt moment, and Meredith promises to make amends. Though still processing her feelings, Kira begins to reconcile with her new reality, finding solace in their renewed bond.
