Fmr. Secret Service Agent Blames Walz, Dems For Supporting ‘Most Mentally Unbalanced’

A former Secret Service agent is blaming Minnesota Democratic Gov. Tim Walz and other Democrats in the state for supporting the “most mentally unbalanced.”

During a segment on “The Ingraham Angle,” the panel spoke about the tragic shooting at a Minneapolis Catholic church mass on Wednesday. Two children were killed and 18 people were hurt, including 15 children.

“Rich, now, you believe prosecutions are in order over what happened today, despite the killer having killed himself. Who should that be?” Ingraham asked former Secret Service agent Rich Staropoli.

“No, absolutely. I think you’ve got to start going after this idiot Jacob Frey, right, and his ridiculous, insane ideology with the transgender community here,” Staropoli began.

“This guy has gone so far out of his way to provide top cover and support for a group of people who are the most mentally unbalanced group of people in the entire world. Yet, he went on a news conference today and tried to do everything to deflect the attention from the shooter, which, by the way, and I want to be clear about this to you, Laura, and your 100 million or so viewers, the left created this shooter,” Staropoli added.

“We have no doubt about that. Jacob Frey and his ideologies, coupled with his rantings about how Trump and his Nazi-like dictatorship has created an environment where the transgender community will be erased by the Catholic Church, that’s what prompted this kid to go out and shoot up that church today. Make no mistake about it,” he added.

Staropoli continued, “Yet, Congress stood around and watched and blamed President Trump for using his position on January 6th, yet they are not going to hold Jacob Frey, ‘Tampon’ Tim Walz and all of their contemporaries in New York, Chicago, Boston and Los Angeles responsible for using their positions to provide cover and to allow these people to go out and do these things. This kid didn’t just wake up this morning and do this. This is something that has been festering and growing for months now. It’s my opinion that this kid waited until the first day of school to go out and do this. There is no way his family, his friends, and his mother didn’t know about this.”

Investigators also revealed this week that the shooter’s mother is not cooperating with them.

Fox News reported that the shooter’s mother, Mary Grace Westman, has hired Ryan Garry as her criminal defense lawyer.

When asked why the mother obtained a criminal attorney, Garry told Fox, “She is completely distraught about the situation and has no culpability but is seeking an attorney to deal with calls like this.”

Brian O’Hara, the chief of police in Minneapolis, said that dozens of interviews have been done with the shooter’s family, friends, coworkers, and people who saw the carnage at Annunciation Catholic Church.

“I know we have not been successful in talking to the shooter’s mother, yet, at this time,” O’Hara said during a news conference Thursday. “But there continue to be efforts made to get that done.”

Court documents show the shooter’s mother applied for her son to legally change his name, writing in 2019, “minor identifies as female and wants her name to reflect the identification.”

It is not clear why the shooter’s mother is not cooperating with investigators.

When a reporter asked O’Hara on Thursday if detectives had talked to the shooter’s father, he first said he couldn’t say for sure.

But in the background, the chief talked for a short time with Drew Evans, who is in charge of the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. Evans told the chief that his detectives had talked to the father.

But police haven’t said yet whether the shooter, 23-year-old Robin Westman, lived with his parents or with his mother. They know that person has three homes linked to them.

“I can’t verify right now which residence he was staying at immediately prior to the shooting, but that’s obviously something that will come with the investigation as it continues,” O’Hara said.
