Donald Trump Returned to Hospital for More Heart Tests 3 Months After Diagnosis, Physician Reveals

President Donald Trump, 79, underwent a routine physical examination at Walter Reed Medical Center on October 10, 2025, despite previously stating that his annual check-up had already been completed. The visit was part of his ongoing health maintenance plan, which included advanced cardiovascular tests, lab testing, and imaging. According to White House physician Dr. Sean Barbabella, Trump’s laboratory results were “exceptional,” with his cardiac age estimated to be 14 years younger than his chronological age.

In addition to these tests, Trump received updated vaccinations for influenza and COVID-19. Dr. Barbabella reported that Trump remains in excellent health, demonstrating strong cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological, and physical performance. He also continues to maintain a demanding daily schedule without restrictions. This visit follows a similar check-up earlier in the year, where Trump was declared “fully fit” to serve.

Trump had a follow-up visit in July due to swelling in his lower legs, which led to a diagnosis of chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), a condition common in individuals over 70. Despite the diagnosis, Dr. Barbabella reassured the public that the president’s overall health remained excellent.
