Boy Didn’t Stop Kicking My Seat during a Long Flight – My Dad Taught His Parents a Nice Lesson

Long-haul flights are uncomfortable, but they become worse with unruly children. A father-daughter duo experienced this on a flight back from India when a young boy behind them repeatedly kicked the daughter’s seat. Initially, the father politely asked the boy to stop, but the kicking resumed.

To address the issue, the father fully reclined his seat, disturbing the boy’s mother. When she and her husband complained to a flight attendant, she confirmed the father had the right to recline. The parents, realizing the discomfort, stopped their son’s behavior. “The boy stopped, but only for a short time before he started again,” the father shared.

Some found the story amusing, with one person suggesting the father should have reclined his seat when the couple had drinks, causing them to spill. Another commented, “People don’t understand the impact until they experience it themselves.”

Similar stories emerged. One woman recounted a man behind her on a flight from Egypt aggressively kicking her seat because he didn’t want a woman in front of him. Another traveler confronted a mother whose child was kicking their seat, threatening to embarrass her unless she controlled her child.

These tales highlight the struggles of dealing with inconsiderate passengers on flights.
