People have noticed a replica of the World Cup trophy displayed behind President Trump’s desk in the Oval Office. This has sparked curiosity, as the U.S. has never won the World Cup. Some Twitter users found it amusing, while others questioned why Trump had it, especially considering America will co-host the 2026 World Cup. The replica, not the real trophy, was confirmed by FIFA, and it’s likely a gift from FIFA President Gianni Infantino. Trump’s relations with Mexico and Canada, co-hosts of the 2026 tournament, are tense due to trade tariffs, though recent agreements have eased tensions, particularly with Mexico.
