Ingredients:

Small onion, diced 1
Chopped celery ½ cup
Large eggs, beaten 2
Chicken stock 2 cups
Dried sage 1 tablespoon

How To Make Mama’s Cornbread Dressing

    1. Prep Oven & Dish: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 7×11-inch baking dish. Place the 3 cups of crumbled cornbread in a large bowl.
    2. Sauté Vegetables: Melt the 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and chopped celery and sauté until they are soft, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  1. Combine Ingredients: Add the sautéed onion and celery to the crumbled cornbread. Stir in the 2 cups of chicken stock, 2 beaten large eggs, 1 tablespoon of dried sage, salt, and ground black pepper until everything is well combined.
  2. Bake: Pour the dressing mixture into the prepared baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, or until the dressing just starts to turn golden brown around the edges.
