This recipe is even better than the restaurant version, my hubby loves it.

This Slow Cooker General Tso’s Chicken is an incredibly easy way to enjoy the classic take-out favorite with minimal effort. By browning the chicken first and letting the slow cooker handle the rest, you get tender, flavorful chicken pieces coated in a rich, sweet, and tangy sauce with a hint of heat.

How To Make Slow Cooker General Tso’s Chicken:

  1. Step 1: Prepare the Chicken: In a large bowl, combine the sliced chicken breasts with cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Toss the chicken until it is evenly coated with the mixture.
  2. Step 2: Brown the Chicken: Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the chicken begins to brown. Transfer the chicken to the slow cooker.
  3. Step 3: Prepare the Sauce: In a separate bowl, combine the chicken broth, black bean sauce, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce, dark brown sugar, minced garlic, minced ginger, and red pepper flakes. Stir the mixture until all the ingredients are well combined.
