“Oh my gosh!! I made these for my son’s birthday party and I apparently didn’t make enough.”

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Lean Ground Beef 1 lb
Onion (chopped) 2.5 cups
Garlic Powder 1/2 teaspoon
Ketchup 3/4 cup
Tomato Paste 2 teaspoons
Worcestershire Sauce 1/2 teaspoon
Brown Sugar 2.5 teaspoons
Salt & Pepper To taste
Green Mill Texas Toast 4 pieces
Cheddar Cheese (shredded) 1 oz
Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Brown meat and onion: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and chopped onion. Drain any excess grease.
Combine ingredients: Add ketchup, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir well to combine.
Simmer: Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer the mixture until it has thickened to your desired consistency.
Toast the bread: While the Sloppy Joe mixture simmers, place the Green Mill Texas Toast in the preheated oven. Bake for 5-6 minutes, or until golden brown.
Assemble: Remove the toasted bread from the oven. Spoon the Sloppy Joe mixture generously onto each piece of toast.
Top with cheese: Sprinkle each serving with 1/4 oz of shredded Cheddar cheese.
