Fritos corn chips 1 large bag
canned chili (15 oz) 2 cans
shredded cheddar cheese 2 cups
diced red onions 1/2 cup
sliced jalapeños 1/2 cup
sour cream for serving
diced avocado for serving (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat and layer: Heat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grab a baking dish. Spread half the Fritos chips across the bottom.
Chili time: Pour your favorite canned chili (or homemade chili!) evenly over the Frito layer.
Cheese blanket: Generously sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the chili.
Frito finish: Scatter the remaining Fritos over the cheese for that signature crunch.
Bake it melty: Bake uncovered for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Cool down: Take it out of the oven and let it cool for a few minutes (it’s hot!).
Top it off: Serve hot and customize with toppings like diced red onions, sliced jalapeños, sour cream, and even diced avocado for an extra treat!
