Man Learns Daughter Isn’t His After DNA Test But His Wife Never Cheated On Him

A woman revealed on Reddit that her husband took a paternity test, showing he was not their daughter’s father. Shocked, she insisted she had never cheated. The couple had been together since college and loved each other deeply, with a 5-year-old daughter.

After the test, the husband became distant and suspicious, noting their daughter’s brown eyes while both parents had blue eyes. They decided to take more tests to clear the confusion. The results showed neither was their daughter’s biological parent, prompting them to involve the police and sue the hospital where she was born.

A police investigation revealed their biological daughter was in foster care after being mistakenly taken by another family. The couple applied for adoption and received a $2 million settlement from the hospital. They planned to move to a new town and start fresh with both daughters.

Reflecting on the ordeal, the woman said, “I don’t know what I ever did to deserve this,” but was relieved her daughter was safe and ready to rebuild their family.
