Salt Âź teaspoon

For the Filling:

INGREDIENT AMOUNT
Large eggs 2
Sweetened condensed milk 1 (14-ounce) can
Fresh lemon juice ½ cup
Lemon zest 1 tablespoon

🧁 Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven
Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Crust
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth and fluffy.
In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt, then gradually combine with the butter mixture.
Reserve 1 cup of the crumbly dough for the topping. Press the rest evenly into the bottom of your prepared pan to form the crust.
  3. Make the Filling
In another bowl, beat the eggs until light and slightly thickened. Stir in the sweetened condensed milk, lemon juice, and lemon zest until fully combined.
  4. Assemble and Bake
Pour the lemon mixture over the prepared crust. Sprinkle the reserved crumb mixture evenly on top.
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden and the center is set.
  5. Cool and Serve
Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan. For an extra touch, dust with powdered sugar before slicing into squares or bars.
