1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce Forms the base of the savory meat layer.
1 cup ricotta cheese Creamy and mild—essential for that lasagna taste.
1 cup cottage cheese (optional) Adds extra creaminess and texture.
1 tsp Italian seasoning Brings classic herb flavor to the sauce.
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese Melts beautifully—half goes inside, half on top.
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese Adds sharp, salty depth to the cheese blend.
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped Brightens the dish—save extra for garnish.
1 loaf garlic bread or baguette Slice and toast for dipping into the warm, cheesy layers.

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the meat
In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef or sausage until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  3. Make the sauce
Stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 5 minutes to blend flavors.
  4. Mix the cheeses
In a bowl, combine ricotta, cottage cheese (if using), half the mozzarella, Parmesan, and parsley.
  5. Layer the dip
Spread half the meat sauce into the baking dish. Spoon the cheese mixture evenly over it.
  6. Top it off
Add the remaining meat sauce, then sprinkle with the rest of the mozzarella.
  7. Bake
Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown.
  8. Garnish & serve
Let cool slightly, then sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve warm with toasted garlic bread slices for dipping.

This dip is perfect for parties, potlucks, or anytime you want lasagna flavor without the layering and slicing. Want to spice it up? Add crushed red pepper to the sauce or stir in sautéed mushrooms or spinach to the cheese layer.
