After enduring a painful and highly public divorce, Hollywood icon Kevin Costner appears to have found love again – this time with a billionaire’s ex-wife, who sources say is “exactly his type.”
Only months before Kevin Costner announced his shocking split from handbag designer Christine Baumgartner, 51, he gushed about the woman he married in 2004, and the “power of love.”
“My wife does things that just completely…It just helps. The house is prettier because of her. Everything is warmer because of her. There are these little things that she does, and I think it’s the power of love, but that she makes her home that way,” the star told People in November 2022.
In May 2023, Baumgartner – the mother of Costner’s three kids – filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences, sparking a bitter legal battle over finances and custody that ended in February 2024. The Yellowstone star was ordered to pay her $63,209 per month in child support, a significant reduction from the $248,000 per month Baumgartner initially requested.
Costner crushed
Fox News reports that the couple agreed to “joint legal and physical custody” of their three children, Cayden, 18, and Hayes, 16, plus daughter Grace,15.
Describing the split as a “a crushing moment,” the Oscar-winning actor told CBS Mornings that “It’s powerful. It hurt.”
“But I go forward. I have no choice – my children are looking at me…So I can’t wilt like a daisy, I have to go forward. I have to continue to be who I am and keep a special eye on who they are,” the Dances with Wolves star said.
Happy after ‘dark time’
Now, sources say Costner has moved forward and is dating Kelly Noonan Gores, a 46-year-old filmmaker and the ex-wife of billionaire Alec Gores, 72.
While Costner has reportedly tried to keep the romance private, his recent appearances with the gorgeous blonde at the JAS Labor Day Experience festival in in Aspen suggest the relationship is growing more serious – and insiders claim the romance is just “what he needs.”
“Kevin is dating and happy again after a very dark time in his life,” one insider told RadarOnline.com. “He has been seeing Kelly. He has tried to keep it very hush hush because he doesn’t want this to go off the rails.”According to the same source, Costner describes Kelly as “chill” and just “what he needs” after the turbulence of his divorce.
“She is exactly his type and they have a lot in common: the outdoors, sports – she likes to surf – long walks with dogs,” the tipster added. “Also she has young kids and he loves kids, so he thinks that’s cute.”
‘Hot and heavy’
“With Kelly, she has fallen into his charm 110%. He thinks she is very nice, super sexy and likes hanging out with her,” shared another insider. “Kevin can get almost any woman he wants, and Kelly is his target right now and they both are enjoying each other’s company.”
The source added: “It is hot and heavy right now, and the sky is the limit. He’s looking to hang out with her as much as possible, and she is all for it as well.”
Casual dating
A third source confirmed with US Weekly that Costner and Noonan Gores “are hanging out casually and were connected by friends.”
“They both frequent Aspen often and have mutual friend groups,” the source told the outlet, adding that the relationship is “not serious yet.” “They have been getting to know each other and seeing each other casually when they can.”
And, Costner isn’t the only one moving on. According to E News, Baumgartner recently said “yes” when financier Josh Conner proposed to her at a romantic beach dinner in Santa Barbara, Calif.
