Is New York Really Trying to Take Down Trump? See How He’s FIGHTING BACK – It’s About Time?!

President Donald Trump outlined a plan to pressure New York into ending congestion pricing in Manhattan through the federal Department of Transportation. He also warned that the Justice Department will review the state’s laws protecting illegal immigrants.

The Department of Transportation could withhold funding or reopen the environmental review that approved the toll under the Biden administration. Trump also vowed to remove bike lanes and address criminal migrants in New York City.

He expressed optimism that he and Governor Hochul could reach a resolution on the $9 tax on vehicles entering Manhattan during peak hours. Trump said, “I think it’s really horrible, but I want to discuss it with her… If I decide to do it, I will be able to kill it off in Washington through the Department of Transportation.”

The $36 billion in federal transportation funding for New York could be at risk, along with other federal grants. Trump argued that the toll hurts businesses and disrupts traffic, adding that people are unaware of the charge until they receive the bill.

Trump also criticized the subway system’s safety, calling for tougher action against criminals. He criticized bike lanes in the middle of streets, calling them dangerous.

Additionally, Trump warned that New York’s sanctuary city laws, which protect criminal illegal immigrants, could lead to lawsuits. He said, “Why would they want to protect criminals?” He pointed out that his administration had already sued Illinois officials over similar issues.
