ICE On Pace For 1 Million Migrant A rrests In Four Years As GOP Eyes More Funding

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is on track to arrest nearly one million illegal immigrants by the end of Trump’s term, though this falls short of his goal.

Republicans are pushing for border security and additional funding in upcoming spending packages, which could lead to more arrests.

ICE stopped posting daily arrest data but continues operations, with recent updates showing over 11,000 arrests since January 20.

Despite a decline in border arrests, the pace is expected to increase. Challenges include capacity issues and leaks, such as the exposure of an ICE raid in Aurora, Colorado, which resulted in empty apartments and protests. ICE is considering limiting media access to protect operations.
