I Came Home to Find My Kids Sleeping in the Hallway — What My Husband Turned Their Bedroom into While I Was Away Made Me Feral

After a week away on business, I returned home late, expecting to see my family peacefully asleep. Instead, I found my kids, Tommy and Alex, sleeping on the hallway floor, dirty and tangled in blankets. My husband, Mark, was nowhere in sight. Heart racing, I finally found him in the boys’ room—engrossed in video games, surrounded by junk food, with the room turned into a gaming cave.

Furious, I confronted Mark, who brushed off my concerns, saying the kids saw it as an “adventure.” I decided to teach him a lesson. The next morning, I treated him like one of the boys—complete with a chore chart and early bedtimes. Mark was forced to follow the new rules while I turned off the Wi-Fi and even called his mother for backup.

In the end, Mark realized his mistake. “I was selfish and irresponsible,” he admitted, promising to do better. Lesson learned!
