Husband Makes Pregnant Wife Work 40+ Hours & Manage All House Chores — Family Finds Out on Thanksgiving Day

While their home underwent renovations, a woman and her fiancé stayed at her sister’s house. The woman observed her pregnant sister receiving no help from her husband, despite working over 40 hours a week and caring for their four children. During Thanksgiving dinner, the woman decided to address this issue.

The woman recounted her sister’s struggle on Reddit, highlighting her sister’s heavy workload and lack of support from her husband. “She handled breakfast, chores, and got the kids ready for school,” she wrote, while her husband stayed home and played video games. Notably, her sister earned more than her husband.

While staying with her sister, the woman and her fiancé helped with the kids and appointments. In contrast, the husband only acted involved when his family was around. Her sister, despite wanting no more children, faced pressure from her husband for more boys.

At Thanksgiving dinner, the woman confronted her brother-in-law after he commented on fatherhood. She called him a “pathetic excuse for a man” who left his pregnant wife to handle everything. Later, her sister thanked her, but the brother-in-law accused her of lying and causing family embarrassment.

Online, opinions varied on whether her actions were justified.
