Nick Reiner Checks Into Hotel Hours Before Parents’ Deaths
Nick Reiner, the 32-year-old son of filmmaker Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner, reportedly checked into the Pierside Santa Monica hotel around 4 a.m. on Sunday, December 14. This occurred just hours before the tragic deaths of his parents at their Brentwood home. According to TMZ, he booked the room for only one night, using his credit card.Before heading to the hotel, Nick and his parents had attended a Christmas party hosted by Conan O’Brien. Sources say the family got into a heated argument during the event.
Horror Discovered in Hotel Room
Later Sunday morning, hotel staff entered Nick’s room and found shocking evidence of violence. The shower was reportedly “full of blood,” and more blood stained the bed. Staff also noted that a window had been covered with bed sheets. Witnesses described Nick as appearing “tweaked out,” though he showed no visible injuries.
Authorities have not confirmed whether the blood belonged to Nick or someone else. LAPD detectives collected evidence and interviewed hotel employees the following day.
Arrest and ChargesNick Reiner was arrested about 20 miles from the hotel in Exposition Park, Los Angeles. He is currently held without bail at Twin Towers Correctional Facility and placed on suicide watch. He faces charges of m*rder in connection to his parents’ deaths.
