Donald Trump calls US ‘stupid country’ amid controversial case

Donald Trump has not made his feelings about birthright citizenship a secret. In his latest statement, he has made some shocking remarks.

Since Donald Trump took office on January 20, he has been making many changes. He has done a lot of work regarding the US’s trade agreements with other countries. Other areas he has been focusing on are drugs, crime, and, of course, immigration.

The administration has been deporting a lot of migrants out of the country. A lot of people were sent to El Salvador’s mega-jail through the evocation of a wartime law. The people deported did not have the opportunity for any legal proceedings. With an offer of a ‘free flight’ to non-US citizens, as well as an ‘exit bonus’ to incentivize leaving.

Trump and his administration have been trying to revoke birthright citizenship, which is the 14th Amendment of the American Constitution. The amendment says, ‘all persons born or naturalised in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens’.

The executive order that the administration is trying to pass is that children born in the US to parents who do not have permanent residency, such as illegal immigrations or those visiting the country on a tourist, student, or temporary work visa, should not be given citizenship.

The decision was blocked by three judges in Maryland, Massachusetts, and Washington.

Now Donald Trump took to social media, his platform Truth Social to urge the Supreme Court to reconsider their decision. He pointed out that the right was given at the end of the Civil War to protect ‘the babies of slaves’ and in this day and age, is not needed.

The President wrote, “Birthright Citizenship was not meant for people taking vacations to become permanent Citizens of the United States of America, and bringing their families with them, all the time laughing at the “SUCKERS” that we are!”

“The United States of America is the only Country in the World that does this, for what reason, nobody knows — But the drug cartels love it!”

He went on to say, “We are, for the sake of being politically correct, a STUPID Country but, in actuality, this is the exact opposite of being politically correct, and it is yet another point that leads to the dysfunction of America.”

“As conclusive proof, the Civil War ended in 1865, the Bill went to Congress less than a year later, in 1866, and was passed shortly after that,” he added. “It had nothing to do with Illegal Immigration for people wanting to SCAM our Country, from all parts of the World, which they have done for many years. It had to do with Civil War results, and the babies of slaves who our politicians felt, correctly, needed protection.”

“Please explain this to the Supreme Court of the United States. Again, remember, the Civil War ended in 1865, and the Bill goes to Congress in 1866 — We didn’t have people pouring into our Country from all over South America, and the rest of the World. It wasn’t even a subject.”

“What we had were the BABIES OF SLAVES. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Good luck with this very important case. GOD BLESS THE U.S.A.!”

This statement from President Donald Trump comes as the Supreme Court prepares to debate whether the president can end birthright citizenship.
