Deep Fried Lobster Tails

Ingredient Quantity
Lobster tails 3
Buttermilk 1 cup
Old Bay seasoning 1 teaspoon
All-purpose flour 1 cup
Salt-free lemon pepper seasoning 1 teaspoon
Paprika 1 teaspoon
Butter 2 tablespoons
Baking powder 1 teaspoon
Garlic cloves, finely minced 2

Instructions:

    1. Prepare lobster tails: Thaw frozen tails overnight. Cut down the center of the top shell and gently remove the meat.
    2. Marinate: Combine buttermilk, Old Bay seasoning, and garlic in a bowl. Marinate lobster tails for at least 30 minutes.
    3. Prepare batter: Mix flour, lemon pepper seasoning, paprika, and baking powder in a separate bowl.
  1. Set up frying station: Heat butter and oil in a deep fryer or pot to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a plate lined with paper towels.
  2. Coat and fry: Remove lobster tails from buttermilk mixture, dredge in flour mixture, and fry until golden brown and crispy (3-5 minutes).
  3. Drain and serve: Remove lobster tails from oil with a slotted spoon and place on the paper towel-lined plate. Let cool slightly before serving.
