Ingredients:

Powdered sugar, divided ½ cup, plus 1 cup for coating
Salt Pinch
Butter, at room temperature 2 sticks
Vanilla extract 2 teaspoons
Pecans, finely chopped 1 cup

How To Make Buttery Pecan Snowball Cookies:

  1. Step 1: Prep & Cream: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, blend the softened butter and ½ cup of powdered sugar until the mixture is smooth.
  2. Step 2: Mix in Dry Ingredients: Mix in the flour, salt, vanilla extract, and finely chopped pecans until everything is well blended and forms a dough.
  3. Step 3: Shape & Bake: Form the dough into 36 small balls and place them on a parchment-lined or well-greased baking sheet. Bake for 12 minutes.
  4. Step 4: Cool & Coat: Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool to room temperature on the baking sheet. Once cooled, add the remaining 1 cup of powdered sugar to a bowl and gently toss the cookies in it to coat them completely before serving.
