Boy Hides in a Creepy House during a Thunderstorm, Finds His Photo among the Dweller’s Belongings — Story of the Day

Alex sought shelter from a storm in a creepy old house. To his surprise, he found a photo of himself as a toddler. Startled, he met the old lady living there, who revealed she took the photo. Alex realized she might be his grandmother, Anna.

Living near a small town, Alex and his friends played hide-and-seek when he decided to explore the mysterious house. Inside, the house was unexpectedly warm and welcoming. He found an old photo album with a picture of himself, prompting the old lady to appear and explain she was his grandmother.

At home, Alex confronted his mother, Julia, about the photo. She revealed that Anna had left to explore the world but had tried to stay in touch. Alex and his friends discovered Uncle Martin had intercepted Anna’s letters and money.

Alex took the letters to the police, and Julia confronted Martin. Reconciliation followed, and Anna returned to live with them, mending years of separation. “She really tried to reach us,” Alex tearfully realized, bringing the family closer together.
