State Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham announced The Jocelyn Initiative, a plan to use state-owned land for deportation facilities and support the Trump administration’s immigration policies. As part of the initiative, a 1,400-acre ranch has been offered for detention and deportation operations.
Speaking alongside Jocelyn’s family, Buckingham emphasized the state’s resolve: “We will not tolerate another innocent life lost to violent criminals crossing the border illegally.”
This initiative aims to address public safety concerns and reinforce Texas’ commitment to border security.
