Four Married Guys On A Fishing Trip

Four married men decided to spend a Saturday fishing together. While waiting for a bite, they began sharing what they had promised their wives in exchange for getting a day away from home.

The first man said he had agreed to paint the entire house that weekend. The second laughed and explained that he had promised to build a new pool deck after years of his wife asking for one. The third claimed he had the biggest job of all: a complete kitchen renovation, including new cabinets and floors. Despite their promises, all three were determined not to miss their fishing trip.

After some laughter, they noticed the fourth man had remained unusually quiet. Curious, they asked what he had promised his wife to earn his freedom for the day. He smiled and explained that his approach had been much simpler than theirs.

He said he had set his alarm for 5:30 that morning. When it rang, he turned it off, gently nudged his wife, and whispered, “Fishing or sex?” The other three men immediately leaned forward, eager to hear how she had responded.

The fourth fisherman grinned as he delivered his answer: “She looked at me sleepily and said, ‘Put on a sweater. It’s cold outside!’”

The entire group burst into laughter. While the other men had agreed to spend their weekends doing expensive household projects, their friend had found a much easier way to get permission. Sometimes, all it takes is asking the right question and letting your wife make the decision!
