I arrived at Mr. Morrison’s will reading and was shocked to inherit an entire estate, especially since I didn’t know him. In my small rented apartment, I was exhausted and worried about my eviction notice. Suddenly, a letter from a lawyer summoned me to the will reading of Edward Morrison.

At the mansion, I met James, Edward’s son, who was rude and skeptical of my presence. The lawyer revealed that Edward left his estate to both James and me, with the condition that we live together for one year. If either left early, the inheritance would be forfeited.

Living with James was challenging. He tried to scare me off with pranks, but we discovered a hidden compartment with Edward’s belongings and a journal revealing our shared history. James and I were half-siblings, connected through our father’s secret. Over time, we bonded and decided to honor our father’s wishes by living together. We planned to restore the mansion and create a new life, embracing our unexpected family ties. “This is just the beginning,” I said, feeling hopeful as I took a bite of the delicious meal James had prepared.“Yes, it is,” James agreed. “Together, we’ll make this place a home.”
