1½ cups (170g) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1½ cups (170g) shredded pepper jack cheese

2 cups (240g) all-purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
½ cup (1 stick / 115g) cold unsalted butter, cubed
¾–1 cup (180–240ml) whole milk
