Stuffed Cabbages Rolls Recipe

A comforting and flavorful dish, perfect for a family dinner. These stuffed cabbage rolls are filled with a savory mixture of ground meat and rice, then simmered in a rich tomato sauce.

Ingredients:
For the Cabbage:

Large head of cabbage 1
For the Filling:

Ground beef 1 lb
Ground pork (optional) 1/2 lb
Cooked rice 1 cup
Onion, finely diced 1 small
Garlic, minced 2 cloves
Egg 1
Salt 1 tsp
Pepper 1/2 tsp
Paprika 1 tsp
For the Sauce:

Tomato sauce 2 cups
Beef broth 1 cup
Olive oil 2 tbsp
Instructions:

Prepare the Cabbage:

Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
Remove the core from the cabbage and blanch the whole head in boiling water for 2-3 minutes.
Gently peel the leaves and set aside.
Make the Filling:

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, cooked rice, onion, garlic, egg, salt, pepper, and paprika.
Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
Assemble the Rolls:

Place a spoonful of the filling onto the center of each cabbage leaf.
Fold the sides of the leaf over the filling and roll tightly, securing the ends.
Prepare the Sauce:

In a large skillet or pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
Add the tomato sauce and beef broth, stirring to combine.
Bring the sauce to a simmer.
Cook the Rolls:

Place the cabbage rolls, seam-side down, into the simmering sauce.
Cover the pot and simmer over low heat for 45-60 minutes, or until the rolls are cooked through and tender.
Serve:

Serve the stuffed cabbage rolls warm, with extra sauce spooned over the top.
