This Envelope Roast is a remarkably simple and flavorful slow-cooker meal that lives up to its name. By combining three classic dry seasoning mixes, you create a rich, savory sauce that tenderizes a chuck roast to perfection. It’s a low-effort recipe that delivers a mouthwatering, melt-in-your-mouth pot roast, perfect for a hearty family dinner.

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Chuck roast 3 lbs
Dry Italian seasoning mix 1 package
Dry Ranch seasoning mix 1 package
Dry brown gravy mix 1 package
Water 1 cup
Salt and pepper To taste
Optional: Baby potatoes, whole baby carrots, chopped onions

How To Make Three Envelope Roast:

  1. Step 1: Prep the Roast: Season the chuck roastgenerously with salt and pepper and place it in a crockpot or slow cooker.
  2. Step 2: Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, combine the three dry mixes: Italian seasoning, Ranch seasoning, and brown gravy. Pour in 1 cup of waterand whisk to mix all of the ingredients together until smooth.
  3. Step 3: Add to Crockpot: Pour the prepared sauce over the top of the roast. If using the optional ingredients, add the baby potatoes, baby carrots, and chopped onions to the slow cooker, arranging them around the roast.
  4. Step 4: Cook: Set the slow cooker to high and cook for 4 hours. Continue to baste the roast with the sauce occasionally throughout the cooking time to ensure all the flavors meld together.
  5. Step 5: Serve: Check to make sure the roast is fork-tender and the vegetables are fully cooked before serving. Enjoy your tender and flavorful pot roast!
