Friendship Spaghetti Pie

Friendship Spaghetti Pie is a cozy, layered twist on classic spaghetti and meatballs—perfect for sharing or freezing. With a spaghetti crust, creamy ricotta layer, hearty meat sauce, and melty mozzarella, it’s comfort food in pie form. This recipe makes two 9-inch pies, so you can keep one and give one away!
Ingredients
1 lb dry spaghetti
1 lb lean ground beef
4 tbsp butter
½ small yellow onion, diced
1 (32 oz) jar marinara
4 large eggs, beaten
1 cup grated Parmesan
1½ cups ricotta
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp dried basil
2 cups grated mozzarella
Salt & pepper to taste
2 aluminum 9-inch pie pans

Instructions
Cook pasta: Boil spaghetti, drain, mix with butter.
Make sauce: Brown beef and onion, stir in marinara.
Spaghetti crust: Mix spaghetti with eggs and Parmesan. Press into pie pans to form crusts.
Ricotta layer: Combine ricotta, garlic, basil, salt. Spread over crusts.
Assemble: Top with meat sauce, then mozzarella.

To Bake or Freeze
To bake now: 350°F for ~25 mins until bubbly and golden.
To freeze: Wrap tightly. When baking from frozen, cook ~45 mins.
Let cool slightly before slicing. Perfect for potlucks—or for brightening a friend’s day!
