NYU College Republicans President Resigns After ‘Inappropriate’ Remarks About Barron Trump

Kaya Walker, president of NYU’s College Republicans, resigned after making controversial remarks about Barron Trump, the youngest son of former President Donald Trump.

In an interview, she described Barron as an “oddity” on campus, stating he just attends class and goes home.

Her comments, shared in Vanity Fair, led to backlash. The College Republicans’ national organization called her statements inappropriate, emphasizing they didn’t align with their values.

Following her resignation, the group extended an invitation to Barron to join them, aiming to reshape the Republican Party.

Social media reactions were divided, with some defending and others criticizing Kaya.
