If you love the taste of a homemade cherry pie but want something easier to make (and share), these Cherry Pie Bars are pure magic. Soft, buttery, and filled with sweet cherry goodness — they never last long once they hit the table.

Why You’ll Love Them

These bars combine the nostalgia of classic pie with the ease of a one-pan dessert. The crust is tender and buttery, the filling perfectly sweet, and the almond glaze adds that extra touch that makes everyone ask for the recipe.

What You’ll Need

1 cup butter, softened

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp almond extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cans (21 oz each) cherry pie filling

For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp almond extract
  • 2 tbsp milk

How to Make It

1️⃣ Prep – Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 15x10x1-inch baking pan.
2️⃣ Mix – Beat butter and sugar until fluffy, then add eggs and extracts. Stir in flour and salt until smooth.
3️⃣ Layer – Spread most of the batter into the pan, spoon cherry pie filling on top, then drop the remaining batter over it.
